79. weekend to-do's

  1. prepare for chilly weather. temperatures are starting to drop and i am in need of a cozy new scarf. i picked up some beautiful wool yarn on my recent trip to iceland and plan to put it to good use by knitting myself something extra warm.
  2. meet at the midway. the topsfield fair is an eagerly awaited annual extravaganza of food, agriculture and entertainment. i'm super excited for fried dough and ferris wheel rides (weather permitting).
  3. catch-up time with kitty. after being gone for a week, we found that our cat reesie is needing some extra attention. i am going to treat her to some goodnip while we listen to the meow the jewels album together.
  1. apple fever. i have been dying to go apple picking but since it is supposed to rain all weekend, i am going to get my apple fix elsewhere. bantam cider in union square has tours and they have a taproom offering flights, drafts, and bottled cider. i'm going to get one of each.
  2. creepy and curious. mill no. 5 in lowell is holding an oddity and curiousity marketplace this saturday afternoon. they've put together a grouping of purveyors offering all things creepy, odd and curious just in time for the month of october. can't wait to see what treasures i'll find.
  3. pumpkin love. if there is one thing you should all know about me, it is that i love fall. and, more specifically, i love pumpkin flavored everything. whole foods has a great pumpkin smoothie recipe that i can't wait to make this weekend. it's a healthy treat that tastes like savory, sweet pie in a glass. delicious!
